As Vice President of Operations, Philip is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business of the communications-based consultancy.
Since joining the firm in 2004, Philip has managed communications programs and critical issues for major corporations, professional service firms and law firms in Atlanta and beyond. Clients in legal services, financial services, environmental, healthcare, and real estate rely on his counsel and advice in crisis situations, media and marketing matters and events management.
Recent projects include the management of more than 70 speakers, including Steve Forbes and Christopher Gardner, for a Fortune 500 company’s national client conference, the repositioning and rebranding of a $400 million investment management firm, and the planning and development of a national safety and security initiative being organized by leading universities across the country.
He has also been instrumental in the effort to move a 100-year-old Renaissance Revival church 900 miles from Buffalo, New York, to Norcross, Georgia, and has led a number of successful media relations campaigns, including a recent effort that reached 1.7 million people through hard copy publications and over 24 million people through broadcast and online media.
A graduate of Presbyterian College with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in business administration, Philip is an active member of the Presbyterian College Scotsman Club and Presbyterian College Young Alumni Board. In 2004, he established a scholarship in memory of a varsity baseball teammate at his alma mater. He is also a member of the Buckhead Professional Group.
Philip is an Ironman competitor and avid baseball fan. He and his wife, Ashley, a nurse manager in the cardiac intensive care unit at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta on the Emory University campus, live in Decatur.
